What is LabShield?

Our dust covers are made of felt, but not just any felt. We've developed our own process, which we call LabShield . This gives the material a hardness you won't find in ordinary felt.

The problem with regular felt

Felt is soft, cozy and looks good, but if you just leave it as is, it has a disadvantage:

• it collapses quickly
• is not particularly dimensionally stable
• and can wear out quickly with daily use.

That's not enough for a high-quality synth cover that fits and stays in place properly.

Our goal was a material that looked as cool as felt. That's why we developed LabShield , a special finishing process that makes all the difference.

Here's how it works

The felt is hardened and compacted in a multi-stage process, without appearing stiff like plastic.

Each individual fiber receives a kind of "inner armor", which makes the material significantly more dimensionally stable .

Nevertheless, it remains flexible enough to adapt perfectly to your synth.
